Goodbye Andrei Arshavin

Arsenal are finally about to spend some money on new players after managing to release three big earning players - Denilson, Squillaci and everyone's favourite Russian, Andrei Arshavin.

I'm sure we all remember that glorious moment when RVP practically fell to his knees and cursed the very air that surrounded him for Wenger's decision to substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain against Man Utd (I think), and what a fall from grace for the midfielder.  Arshavin was one of the most wanted players in European football after Euro 2008 but it became quite clear, quite quickly that actually he's pretty useless.

The most disturbing thing about this news is that the combined annual wage of all three players is £10million.  Seriously.  That makes about as much financial sense as appointing a stripper as your HR manager and then complaining when she doesn't make targets because her spreadsheet knowledge isn't quite what you'd hoped. Also she's absolutely riddled with disease, I honestly don't know why I hired her.  She's like a 7/10
