Arsenal are ready to spend

Some of you thought Arsenal had lost touch with reality and were a laughing stock for not winning anything for eight years BUT YOU WERE WRONG! They've actually just been waiting until Alex Ferguson retired so they could spend their "war chest".

According to Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis, Arsenal have more than enough firepower to match the Premier League's richest clubs now and spending £25million on a player and £200,000 a week on wages is nae bother at all.
"This year we are beginning to see something we have been planning for some time - the escalation in our financial firepower.
Ooooooooh isn't that exciting?  Except I'm pretty sure they've been saying this for years now.... hmmm.  The big rumour is that Arsenal have basically been saving all their money from the Champions League, TV deals and transfers until 2014, because in 2014 all of their sponsorship deals expire.  This is relevant because those sponsorship deals were signed to help pay for the Emirates, and now they can be renewed they can make shit loads more money.  As in £70million more a year
‘We have a certain amount which we’ve held in reserve and we also have new revenue streams coming on board. All of these things mean we can do some things which would excite you.
This is the equivalent of saving all your change from nights out and discovering one day that you have shit loads of money but that you don't know what to do with it.  Are there other things money can buy except beer?  I'm sure I saw clothes in a shop once.
