Antonio Cassano hates gays, maybe doesn't

Antonio Cassano is playing for Italy right now hoping that his team will make the Euro 2012 quarter finals and also that he doesn't have to see any gay people.

The Guardian says:
When asked about media reports that there were two metrosexual players and two homosexual players in the Italy squad, the Milan forward said: "What's a metrosexual?" before adding: "Queers in the national team? That's their business. But I hope not."
Which was very nice of him.  Clearly he was misinterpreted by you because he's now issued an official statement apologising:
"I sincerely regret that my statements have sparked controversy and protest from gay rights groups, Homophobia is a sentiment that is not mine. I did not want to offend anyone and I can not question the sexual freedom of other people.
I only said that it is a problem that does not concern me and it is not for me to pass judgment on the choices of others, who are all respected."
So yeh.  I bet you feel bad jumping to conclusions about Antonio Cassano now, don't you?  Only the other day I overheard my neighbour saying 'I cannot stand black people' but when I asked him about it he said 'oh no I didn't mean that, black people are fine'.  I need to stop being so judgemental!
