Alan Pardew wants more players

You may remember a time long ago when I scathingly criticised Newcastle for hiring Alan 'I'll Relegate You' Pardew.  I think it was like a self-hating, American Beauty style reaction because by god do I love him now.  I have accepted him into my life.

Newcastle beat Bolton 2-0 today thanks to a wonder goal from Hatem Ben Arfa and another one from Cisse, and now sit in fifth place.  This could change because later today Chelsea play Fulham, but for now, just imagine how ridiculous it would be for Newcastle, now level on points with Spurs, to make the Champions League.  Pardew reckons he might need some new recruits:
I think we would need a bigger squad, therefore where we might only bring in two or three we might need four or five to bolster the numbers.
“We’ll have to see because obviously we’ve got contracts up here as well, whether we all agree to stay or they go as well. We’ll have to wait and see
It's pretty much expected that Tiote, Ba and anyone else good will leave in the summer since nothing amazing is allowed to happen to the club without something suicidal happening to balance the universe out again afterwards.  That is the nature of the football gods.  If they ever won the FA Cup, Warren Barton would have to actually die as punishment.  There is no other way.
