Harry Redknapp: Subtle as a Sledgehammer

Redknapp has been discussing the England job and in no way is he putting himself forward for it.

Ol' Harry is of course the manager of Spurs and their fans should be happy that Harry has distanced himself from the England job. He's got a job to do at Tottenham and is 100% focused on the club and finishing in the top 4. What about after the season finishes? That's a bit of a grey area.

Nobody has approached Harry yet about the job but that won't stop him talking about it. It's a job for an older manager, an experienced manager, an English manager, a manager with a name like Larry or something similar? What about a manager who's face is melting? A manager who was born on the 2nd of March 1947?
"It's an older man's job. I think it is not a job for a young guy.  I think it's a job for a more experienced manager.  Why not give it to somebody from here? "
"I've got to weigh it all up at the end of the year and I've got to do what I feel is right for myself and what I feel is right for my family "
If Harry does get the job, he will be absolutely delighted with the massive sack of money coming his way. Better not accidentally put it in a bank account and not tell anyone.

"that money was only resting in my account"
Redknapp is exactly the kind of manager England need. Terry and co clearly cannot handle listening to an intelligent, technical coach like Capello so better to get a "man-manager" who will use lots of cliches and let the players piss about to their hearts' content and disgrace themselves abroad. They will get torn apart by the first good team they play anyway so we can all spend the rest of the summer blaming one player and hounding them out of the country and asking ourselves "where did it all go wrong?".
