Asamoah Gyan quits Ghana

Former but sort of current Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has angrily decided to never play for Ghana ever again because the fans were being mean to him.  Also travelling most of the way across the world to play pointless friendlies probably does his tits in, and besides, he's rich now.  Screw those guys!

The GFA (Ghanaian FA) has said that it is in talks with the striker and urged him to reconsider, following tonnes of abuse directed at him and some at his team-mates from Ghana's exit from the African Cup of Nations.  Gyan missed a penalty in the semi-final and this prompted "fans" to call for his head, or something, and if you add in the penalty he missed during the 2010 world cup, you can probably see where they are coming from.  Imagine Gareth Southgate had missed one in the semi's of France 98 and that's sort of where you're at.  Except more mental, and he can't be arsed.

Actually, now that I think about it, Gyan is almost certainly missing these penalties on purpose so deserves to be slaughtered in the press and in bars and on the streets and in what ever Ghanaian people live in.  Houses?  It must be houses.
