Apple want to buy the Premier League / World
Steve Jobs' dying wish was to be able to stream a video of Shaun Wright-Philips being eaten by Martin Skrtel live on his iPad, which is why Apple are rumoured to be interesting in buying the rights for Premier League TV viewing.
Plenty of massive multimedia companies like Google and Al Jezeera actually want to buy the rights because as we enter television's death and probable rebirth, one of the world's most watched sporting leagues would help command a massive audience pull. Sky currently own everything and the rights cost them £1.6billion last time around but since Apple have about $75billion just sitting in a bank account somewhere, they can pretty much just do whatever they want. If anything you should be thankful that they haven't bought you yet.
