Thierry Henry gets his own statue

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was at the Emirates on Saturday to not only see Robin van Persie score a disgustingly amazing goal but to celebrate Arsenal's 125th anniversary of being a club.  They gave him a statue in return!

The Frenchman shed a wee tear as he thanked the Arsenal fans and whoever it was that commissioned a statue of him for the honour and that makes me really happy, because not only do I love Thierry Henry, but it's great when a player genuinely loves the club they play for.  Henry told a waiting press conference:
"I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would have a statue like this in front of the stadium of the team I love and support," said the French striker.
"Once a Gooner, always a Gooner."
I can't wait for the day that Manchester City unveil a statue of Mario Balotelli driving a train into the side of the stadium.  They probably won't even have to build one, just paint the real thing in gold.
