Man City tranfer rumour #586979868 - Cristiano Ronaldo

Football phenomenon Cristiano Ronaldo is being linked with Manchester City today.  What an original, breaking story, I hear you say.  Well guess which paper it's from?

Manchester City are ready to smash the world transfer record to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to the Premier League.
Roberto Mancini's men joined European football's elite last week by qualifying for the Champions League for the first time.
Now City want the Portuguese superstar to spearhead their bid to win the trophy next season
I'm going to continue some of the fantastic journalism we regularly see from The Mirror by guessing that Man City would also like to buy Messi, Villa, Casillas, Johan Cruyff and Pele.  The rumour is that City will swap Tevez, who couldn't make it any clearer that he wants to escape, plus between £50 million and £100 million to secure the Portuguese striker/winger/forward and incase that isn't enough they are going to buy Real Madrid, move Ronaldo, then sell Real Madrid again, before retiring to their palace on the moon.
