Di Canio is the new Swindon Town manager. Really.

Breaking news this morning that will send shivers down the spines of mountains worldwide: Paolo Di Canio, famed for not only being awesome at football but also for shoving a referee to the ground, has been named the new Swindon Town manager!

The BBC says:
Paolo Di Canio is to be named as the new manager of Swindon Town, BBC Radio Wiltshire reports.
The controversial former West Ham striker has agreed terms and his appointment will be confirmed at a press conference this morning.
Di Canio, 42, was one of eight candidates interviewed for the position by Swindon chairman Jeremy Wray.
It would be the Italians first coaching job in England since he retired from playing in 2008.
I assume that they mean the football club Swindon Town and not that he's going to literally be the manager of the town of Swindon.  I think I can speak for us all when I say that I would like to live in a town, or even a city, that is run by footballers - nothing would be purer.  I'm not sure what his policies would be if he were in charge of Swindon though I'd like to hazard a guess that the first would probably be something like: 'Someone must tell me where the fuck swindon is'.
