The next *insert average/good England player's name* to remain at Ipswich?

18 year old Connor Wickham today signed an extension to his contract at Ipswich that will ensure that his career really takes flight!

Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham has signed an extension to his current contract, keeping him at Portman Road until 2014.
Wickham has made 67 appearances for Town, 35 of them off the bench, and has scored 13 times, seven of which have come this season.
Wickham has really set the Championship alight this year scoring 7 whole goals, all by himself!  Now I'm not trying to say that the English press has a habit of over-hyping young footballers who then go on to have distinctly average careers with over-priced transfers, but Shola Ameobi even managed to get Stoke promoted whereas Ipswich currently sit in 15th.  Sure, he's 18 and will learn some more but I'm so bored of hearing about £10 million transfers for strikers who look comfortable in lower leagues and happen to be from the UK.  I'm just bored of everything really.  I always thought it would be funny to come out of a bathroom at a club or bar where there is a big queue and just shout 'THERE'S BLOOD... EVERYWHEEEERE!' and run off, just to see what happens.
